"I had graduated from the PharmaTox Institute of Addiction studies in July, 2003.  I found that the instructors were of first rate quality and the material presented was extremely clear and helpful.  They were also helpful in placing me in intership while still in school and I was able to work immediately upon graduation. I was able to pass the CAADAC written certification test that same July, and I had no problems passing the CAADAC Oral Examination as well. I have had a very satisfying caree in the field to this very day and am very grateful for the support from the staff at the PharmaTox Institute of Addiction Studies."

“I would like to share with you my experience at PharmaTox Institute of Addiction Studies.  I first found out about this school through my workers' compensation program.  I had always  wanted to help people with different types of problems.  I had been out of the "drug life" for many years and was a little apprehensive about beginning classes. The first minute I walked in, I was made to feel at home and like one of the family.  It was so easy to learn and I was so excited to come to class weekly.  Today, I am a full time counselor, certified through CAAR.  I feel that I was given all the tools and support for a well rounded curriculum.

“Last year, I had absolutely nothing.  I was homeless and an alcoholic, having no possessions other than the clothes on my back. I didn't even have enough change for a simple bite to eat. Through the guidance and compassion at PharmaTox, I was able to bring myself back from the brink of despair. Through their knowledge of community resources, I was able to find help with all of my basic needs.  It is through this kind of support that I am now able to safety defeat the horrible disease of addiction.
